Nobody walks one new builder from a $20 snap-fit kit through nippers, sanding, primer, airbrush, compressor, and paint in one current, US-priced path.
Sprue Cut owns that path. We do three things, and we try to do them better than anyone: honest, current gear reviews and comparisons on the tools people actually search; a 3D field guide that demystifies the scary hardware before you spend a cent; and original, IP-safe builder-culture goods for people whose identity is builder, not fan.
The name is the whole philosophy. The sprue cut is the first act of every build — the snip that frees a part from the runner. It’s where nerves live for a beginner and where craft starts for everyone. Start there, cut clean, and the rest of the hobby opens up.
What you can trust
We only recommend gear we can verify is current and shippable. We never fabricate a testing story. We disclose exactly how we reach a verdict in How We Test, and exactly how we make money in our Editorial Standards. When we’re wrong, we fix it and date it honestly — no fake “updated this year” stamps.
What we won’t do
We keep other people’s trademarks off our merch and out of our art. We name real products only to review them. And we never trade your safety — sharp blades, compressed air, aerosols, solvents — for a tidier sentence. When a step needs a respirator or a window open, we say so.
