Airbrushes, compressors, paints, spray booths, and bench safety

Mika owns the hardware side of the bench: everything with a nozzle, a hose, or a PSI gauge. Using our published methodology, she has spec-mapped more than 100 airbrush and compressor configurations — nozzle sizes, trigger feel reports, duty cycles, noise figures — and the paints each setup sprays well.

Her working rule is that a spec sheet never gets quoted without a translation. "0.35 mm nozzle, 1/6 hp, 57 dB" becomes what it actually means at your bench: fine enough for camo mottle, quiet enough for an apartment, strong enough to push primer. If a number in one of her guides has no plain-language sentence next to it, it does not ship.

She writes the airbrush, compressor, paint-chemistry, booth, and safety coverage, and maintains the pressure and thinning-ratio references used across the site.
