Top Coat

The clear protective seal sprayed over a finished build.

A top coat is the final clear layer sprayed over a build to seal everything underneath — paint, panel lining, decals — under one protective skin with one unified finish. It is the difference between a model that looks assembled and one that looks manufactured.

Matte, semi-gloss, and gloss are aesthetic choices: matte hides fingerprints and toy-shine, gloss suits race cars and fresh armor. Spray in light passes and mind humidity — moisture trapped in a drying coat causes frosting.
